Nairn’s Beaches

Nairn has an amazing six miles of beaches, infact we have so much beach, we had to split it up into four and name each section. All of our beaches have amazing soft sand and a gentle gradient into the sea, perfect for young and old to enjoy a day at the seaside.

In the early 19th Century, Nairn became a popular seaside destination, accessible by train from Inverness. It was known as the Brighton of the North, due to it’s amazing micro-climate.

Not only do we have amazing weather in Nairn but we have amazing Blue Flag status for our pristine water quality.

We call Nairn,  the gateway to Scotland’s Sunshine Coast.
