Nairn’s West Beach

West Beach

West Beach is known for the rock pools which form at low tide. Here the inquistive child or adult, can explore the creatures left behind until the sea sweeps up again.

Nairn’s West Beach extends from Nairn Leisure Centre along to the end of the Golf Course. Outside the leisure centre there is a fantastic Outdoor Gym where you can do some training, while watching out to sea for dolphins.

This area is also popular with wild swimmers, both summer and winter.  The gentle sloping sands not only make for ideal paddling conditions but a great place to learn paddle boarding or kayaking, when the weather is calm.
